Effect of WC Content on the Wear and Corrosion Properties of Oscillating Laser-Cladding-Produced Nickel-Based Coating

Pneumatic conveying pipe is an important part of the coal industry. Its working environment harsh, and it mainly affected by serious wear corrosion, which affects its operating life. Studying a method strengthening wall pneumatic great significance. In this paper, nickel-based alloy coatings with different WC (tungsten carbide) contents were prepared using oscillating laser-cladding process, micro-characterization characteristics, resistance corrosion laser-cladded layer discussed. The main conclusions are as follows: microstructure gradually grows from plane crystals cellular at bottom to relatively coarse columnar in middle, finally large number equiaxed upper part. Moreover, increase content, more fine formed, due decrease temperature gradient distance fusion line. Also, hardness improved. When 20% added, shows best 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution, polarization 16% lower than that when 10% added. This study provides technical reference for improving life pipelines.
